Is There a Way to Get Notifications Immediately After Someone Has Uploaded
Hi Thomw,
Currently, at that place'south no feature to get a notification, when whatsoever modify is made in a notebook shared from OneDrive. However, you tin can check the 'Recent Edit' choice (History>Recent Edits>Today), if there are any changes made, it will highlight those changes.
Given the situation, we would suggest yous to vote for this requirement in UserVoice, this is the best way to make the production meliorate for you and others.
Moreover, yous can create an alert for the notebook shared from SharePoint. You'll exist notified whenever someone updates the notes on SharePoint. To become the alert for the notebook shared in SharePoint, you tin follow the steps below:
- Select the Notebook, which is shared.
- On the ribbon, click Alert > Prepare alarm on this document > OK
Let us know if you further help.
Thanks,
Neha

Thanks Neha. I do accept that feature for my OneNote personal Notebook stored on OneDrive, that'due south the only one I can enable; and so, it is possible.
Is this because the two implementations of OneDrive are withal different?
Is at that place a program to bring them together; so, features like this tin can exist enabled. I'll vote on it and information technology seems others already have.
Besides, is there a way to meet the prioritized backlog that the Dev team is working on? It would assistance manage my expectations.
thanks

Hi Tom,
Sorry for misunderstanding the result, you are correct there is an option to prepare an alert for a OneNote file stored in OneDrive for concern, by clicking on Return to archetype OneDrive on the lower left corner> Click Gear icon > Ribbon to turn on the Ribbon> Select the OneNote file, click FILES > Warning Me to set the email alert.
As you mentioned, in your initial post 'the checkboxes are all grayed-out and it doesn't allow me to prepare a notification for them', could y'all please provide us with following information to check this issue further:
- Where do you see these options to hide? Tin can you provide united states with a screen shot?
- OneNote is saved in your personal OneDrive or OneDrive for Business>
Since, you lot wanted to meet the prioritized excess that the Dev team is working on, to know about the upcoming/in development features in Office 365, we suggest you monitor the Part 365 roadmap, which lists all the updates currently planned for applicable subscribers.

Thank you Neha. .
I'm logged-in to my O365 biz account and also have a shared OneNote file from my personal OneDrive account. My understanding is the Onedrive for Biz and OneDrive for personal use are however two different implementations; therefore, UX is different.
I'll reply over again since apparently the photograph browser lets me select the photograph from my iPad photograph library but then upon upload says it's an invalid file type.
The 'notification' options is under Settings but I'll mail service a screenshot shortly.
to answer #2, I'm using both OneDrive accounts to persist my OneNote notebooks. Information technology works cracking. This is the only feature I've found so far that's causing an issue (likewise the 5000 file limit in OneDrive).

here'due south the screenshot from my iPad. It's the same on the Mac and on the Mac information technology says "Notifications can only exist enabled for notebooks stored in OneDrive". Well, all of these Notebooks are stored on OneDrive but the but one I'grand able to select is the first one which persists on my personal OneDrive yet I'thou logged into my Biz Business relationship. More happy to have offline or open a Enterprise ticket if yous think is right course. Right now, I'd like to know why.

Hi Tom,
For the OneNote notifications, it just works for the Microsoft account( Hotmail, Live, Outlook.com ). In this situation, nosotros can only fix notifications for the Notebooks stored in the personal OneDrive. That's an expected behavior.
Here is an article virtually email notifications in OneNote for your reference.
If you accept whatever feedback about this feature or ideas for making it ameliorate, delight share your thoughts with us on the OneNote UserVoice site, where members of the OneNote product squad monitor all feedback and suggestions.
Thanks,
Felix

On this annotate:
"That's an expected behavior"
It isn't expected behavior from my pov. I would look OneNote & OneDrive to exist consequent between Consumer & Biz implementations. The fact that OneDrive is different for those two user groups is unfortunate.
I can empathize having different features only those that are the same (OneNote Notifications) should exist the implemented the same.
It's non the users mistake that OneDrive is implemented differently, we the users shouldn't endure for your choices. At a minimum yous should strive for our UX to be priority when making tech decisions.
anyhow, I did post a asking for this feature.
thanks
